All creators, hobbyists to professionals, are welcome here. These may not be the cure but it was my first go to when I encountered the problem.
I'm sure this is obvious to most mac users but I thought I would mention it. On a Mac I would go into Disk Utility and do a first aid on the disk in question or indeed on all disks it never hurts. I would advise Xcopy from a command line but make sure you know which Switches to use. If that doesn't work sometimes just copying the files to a new destination will work.
Right click the folder and choose properties you should see something similar to the images I have uploaded: Go to advanced and check who is the owner of the folder and the inheritance of the permissions and make sure the check box "replace all child objects etc etc " is checked. In my experience many, but not all, Windows problems are caused by corrupted file attributes. One suggestion to try on a Windows machine is, go to the folder where the clips are stored and reset the permissions. mp4 H.265 L5.1 generated by Procreate iOS app and then, other animations don't have the problem at all, same codec, file type, and source!!įiles. I'm not sure if it's related, but these same files will sometimes glitch in the render if speed changes are keyframes are applied to the clip. I just moved the main folder to a new drive, relinked all media, and 99% worked. In the past, I've always been able to solve it by using "relink" media, OR if that failed by unlinking then relinking, OR if that failed, by "replacing" media and selecting the file again. Some of them, however, randomly go "media offline" (even though they're not). The majority of these animations work just fine. mp4 animations exported from Procreate (iOS drawing application) in the "H.265 Main L5.1" codec, 30 fps (in a 29.970 fps project).
