So, what is this game all about? About the gameĪRC Raiders takes players to what appears to be a post-apocalyptic world in the distant future, where the remnants of civilization must join forces against a common threat: ARC, "a mechanized and ruthless menace from space.
But as usual, what matters the most is the people working there. So, we know that these developers have many years of experience developing some huge games in the past, but now that they are no longer in DICE, are they able to get the same results? It's not the same working with a well-established developer company than to go with a new, freshly starting one. Of course, these developers are not new, and they used to work for DICE in some incredible games, but the company IS new, and Embark Studios, founded by Patrick Söderlund, is releasing ARC Riders. So, even though there are countless indie developers, it's nice to see mall developers working with the big names to bring something new into the game world. For a while, some of the most popular games have come from the same familiar faces, and it's hard to break into that scene when it's so well-established. It's incredibly refreshing to see new game IPs coming from new studios and new developers.
